Digital Switchover Awareness Campaign and Events for SMEs in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Connecting Cambridgeshire, in partnership with connectivity and digital technology consultancy FarrPoint, has launched a new campaign, aimed at raising awareness among businesses in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough about the Digital Switchover.
The campaign will provide SMEs with informational resources, webinars and face-to-face workshops to ensure a smooth transition from Analogue to Digital within the business community.
The UK-wide Digital Switchover means that telecoms operators (like BT, Virgin Media, Sky & TalkTalk) are decommissioning their analogue services and are moving to fully digital networks across the whole of the UK. This means that analogue phone lines in residential and business premises are being replaced by digital equivalents. For businesses, this transition may mean you need to upgrade existing systems such as telephone lines, alarms, lift alarms and payment machines.
The transition has already started and is set to be completed by January 2027. Therefore, we are urging businesses to attend these information sessions to better understand how they might be affected.
